<image:title>BLOG - St. Barts Travel Guide - Le Ti</image:title>
<image:caption>Le Ti is a unique dinner show destination, and a definite must if you have never been. Le Ti has been around since 1995 and puts on a cabaret show at the 9pm dinner seating each night, followed by an after party with a DJ. They also have a “fancy dress room” and encourage guests to get dressed up during and after dinner. We weren’t expecting much from the food, but the steak and caprese salad were both fantastic.</image:caption>

The lahmajnun—a grilled lafa bread topped with ground beef and various Israeli spices was incredible as was the chicken mesachen. The early seating was quiet and beautiful—but we hear the music turns up and it is much more lively at the later seating.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The view looking out over the mega yachts and beautiful homes in Gustavia is gorgeous, but what is really special about La Guerite is the after-party. The cuisine is Mediterranean, which isn’t surprising since it’s owned by the same group that owns Shellona. On Wednesday after the late seating expect fabulous (loud) music, dancing at the tables and a packed bar.</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOG - St. Barts Travel Guide - La Petite Plage</image:title>
<image:caption>A transport from St. Tropez, La Petite Plage is fairly new on the St. Barts scene. It’s definitely giving Bagatelle a run for its money (and it's directly across from it). We love the beachy wicker décor and dining with our toes in the sand, and later in the evening the servers get everyone dancing. The head chef is Michelin-starred chef Eric Frechon, so the food is great too. Our favorite dish? Pasta Shells for Spoiled Children—we’re not kidding!</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOG - St. Barts Travel Guide - Tamarin</image:title>
<image:caption>Tamarin was definitely one of our favorite dining experiences in St. Barts. The setting is a tropical garden lit up with string lights and the cuisine is French-Caribbean. This is one of the quieter, more romantic spots to dine, so don’t go if you’re looking for the party scene. But the food and setting were impeccable. Try the wagyu Snake River Farm beef sirloin with jalapeno/coriander dressing, the black truffle penne and the lobster ravioli.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Bagatelle is legendary for its dancing waiters and prime location in the heart of Gustavia Harbor. The food is French-Mediterranean with a very high-end wine list. For a quiet, romantic experience, book a table outside and go for an early seating. For a more upbeat experience, book a late seating on Friday or Saturday and sit near the dance floor.</image:caption>

<image:caption>If you are looking for a higher end restaurant and eat red meat, Beef Bar is one of Paris’s most glamorous restaurants. The service is impeccable from the moment you walk in and the restaurant decor is unique with a mix of old and contemporary design. Not only is the atmosphere great but every dish we tried was outstanding. In addition to classic steaks, Beef Bar serves several street food items with a contemporary twist. We especially enjoyed the wagyu dumplings, truffle fries and beef tacos.</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOG - 10 memorable meals in Paris - Make it stand out</image:title>
<image:caption>Pink Mama was the first proper restaurant my friends and I went to once we arrived in Paris. Many have probably seen this spot on social media but for those who haven’t, Pink Mama is a very picturesque four story restaurant in Pigalle that serves incredible Italian food. Pink Mama is part of the Big Mama Group that owns restaurants all over Paris and while they are all amazing, Pink Mama’s vibe and aesthetic made it my favorite. My cocktail of choice was the Bellini Spritz and the wood-oven pizzas were all made to perfection with a thick doughy crust. While you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, the star of the show is definitely the truffle pasta. If the idyllic indoor garden and amazing food aren’t enough to sell this place then the prices will be. Paris is known for being one of the most expensive places in Europe; however, all of the Big Mama restaurants were pretty reasonably priced (i.e. cocktails for 9 euros) making it perfect for those of us on a student budget. Pink Mama was our go-to spot for group birthday dinners and THE place to take friends that were visiting Paris. Make sure you book in advance as it fills up quickly and there are usually long lines for walk-ins.</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOG - 10 memorable meals in Paris - Make it stand out</image:title>
<image:caption>Le 17.45 is less known on social media or tourist sites than some of my other Parisian recommendations, so it was one of my favorite finds (I just walked by one day). It turned out to be such a hidden gem! I went to the location in the 11th Arrondissement but there are a few locations around Paris. Le 17.45 is a small cozy restaurant with the coolest concept of building your own charcuterie boards. The waiter brings guests a pen and a notepad on which to tick off all the different kinds of meats, cheeses, and jams they wish to try and then the staff builds a custom board for each customer/group of customers which is served with a fresh baguette. My friend and I had the best time here and split a bottle of red wine to enjoy with our charcuterie. If you go you must order the tete de moins (monk’s head) cheese –it’s literally the best cheese I have tasted! Price here was mid range.</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOG - 10 memorable meals in Paris - Make it stand out</image:title>
<image:caption>Le Rigmarole is a small well-known restaurant in the 11th arrondissement that serves a cross between Japanese and French food. During my time in Paris this restaurant was temporarily transformed into a pizzeria called Pizzamarole that serves freshly made sourdough pizzas. This was some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted and the staff paired our pizzas with wine from their natural wine selection. Le Rigmarole is expected to return in April 2023. Afterwards make sure you go next door to Folderol, their sister spot for dessert. Folderol is a small wine bar that serves natural wine paired with homemade ice cream. Even though it's small, Folderol always has a lively energy and fun crowd - it's the perfect place to end your night.</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOG - 10 memorable meals in Paris - Make it stand out</image:title>
<image:caption>This was both my first and last meal in Paris and I would dine here once a week if I could. Le Relais de L'Entrecôte is a very famous restaurant in Paris that has three locations across the city and serves only one meal: a walnut salad, followed by an incredibly tender sirloin steak in secret green sauce paired with crisp, homemade fries. The salad and steak frite meal is 28 euro - a pretty good deal for Paris - and they refill your plate ensuring you will not leave hungry. In addition to the single meal offered, there is a great selection of desserts. If you eat red meat, Le Relais de L'Entrecôte is a must. Prepare to wait in line for at least 20 minutes as they do not take reservations. Also beware of copy-cats that have popped up all over the city. Check out the website for the authentic locations (www.relaisentrecote.fr)</image:caption>

<image:caption>Lou Lou is definitely on the fancier and pricier side but worth it. Located right outside the Louvre, Lou Lou is a sceney spot for outdoor lunch on a sunny day. The vodka pasta and truffle pizza are both heavenly. Reservations are hard to get so make sure you book as close to 30 days out as you can.</image:caption>

<image:caption>If you are a foodie and open to trying whatever imaginative dishes are being served that night then Fulgurances L’Adresse is for you. The Fulgurances group has two restaurants in Paris and one in New York that serve as incubators where young up-and-coming chefs hone their skills before setting out to open their own restaurants. Featuring unique tasting menus and wine pairings, L’Adresse is not for everyone as diners don’t know what they will be served until they arrive; however, if you are open-minded and adventurous diner I highly recommend it.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Chambre Noir is a tiny wine bar located in the 11th arrondissement and holds a very special place in my heart. One of my friends who still lives in Paris brought me here for dinner one night and I was so obsessed with it that I returned three times as I had to introduce all my other friends to this amazing little find.At Chambre Noir you will be surrounded by bottles of natural wine and French speaking locals. The staff are very knowledgeable about the different kinds of natural wine and each one I tried was delicious (my fave was the orange wine). The seasonal food menu is very limited and changes regularly, but everything we tried was incredible and paired perfectly with the natural wine. The food is all small plates which are meant to be shared and on my visits I tried the burrata, shishito peppers, fresh vegetables, tacos and mushrooms. Food prices ranged from 3 euro to at most 18, so it’s very reasonably priced. Chambre Noir is perfect for a date night or to come with one or two friends as it is very small and they do not take reservations. The vibe is vibrant but not too loud.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The best burger I have ever had is definitely at Ferdi! Some people know this spot for being Kim and Kanye’s favorite burger in the world and I now understand why. Ferdi is a tiny restaurant in the 1st arrondissement with an eclectic decor (picture lots of toy cars and little toys on the wall). The menu is a bit random with a wide assortment of foods but we really just went there for the burger and macaroni and cheese and these did NOT disappoint. <image:title>BLOG - 10 memorable meals in Paris - Make it stand out</image:title>
<image:caption>Last but not least, I have to mention Le Refuge des Fondus. Le Refuge des Fondus is a small fondue place located in Montmartre that has 2 sittings each night, and may have been the most fun meal I had while in Paris. The small cave-like restaurant has writing all over the walls and two long family style tables. It’s tradition here that customers climb over the table to get into the inside booth seats. Once you are seated you'll be served wine in baby bottles (weird, I know) and a charcuterie plate to start, followed by cheese and meat fondue with fresh baguette for the main course. If you book the later seating (9pm) be prepared for loud throwback 2000’s music and lots dancing on tables. This place is perfect if you are looking for a fun group dinner that is not too expensive.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Keeping with the fondue theme, French Alpine Bistro was probably our favorite place for lunch when we weren’t skiing. We had the flavors of the world salad, the bistro bowl and of course their famous cheese fondue with crispy bread, green apples and roasted broccoli & cauliflower. The restaurant has the cutest atmosphere, with worn wood tables, beautiful candles in glass hurricanes, and sheepskins thrown over the chairs.</image:caption>

We were lucky enough to know a member, so had the opportunity to experience the incredible cuisine at this Aspen institution. I’m still dreaming about the garlic cheese bread and the Hamachi bombs were one of the most creative (and delicious) sashimi dishes we’ve ever come across. After dinner the lively lounge and bar is the place to be.</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOG - A Winter Weekend Getaway in Aspen - Cloud Nine</image:title>
<image:caption>If you ski Aspen Highlands, you need to experience Cloud Nine at least once. Cloud Nine is the cutest little Swiss bistro on the top of Highlands Mountain. If you just want to eat, go for an early seating (they open at 11:30 am). If you want to experience the infamous champagne spray that Cloud Nine is famous for, book a later seating and stay past 3pm. Lunch at Cloud Nine is divine. This alpine bistro is known for its fondue and raclette but everything on the menu was incredible. We ordered the charcuterie and bolognese and one of our friends had the sea bass. Like everyone else in the restaurant, we drank champagne. Speaking of champagne….. Our server warned us that at 3pm we should be prepared to get wet. We saw diners around us asking for plastic bags to protect their ski jackets–so we followed suit. And are we ever grateful we did! At 3pm, the DJ turned up the music, and everyone was dancing on their chairs. Hundreds of bottles of champagne were sprayed (btw, the cheapest on the menu is $200!). Probably the most fun I have ever had on a ski hill! Skiing down soaking wet and smelling of champagne was a different story, but well worth it.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Finney’s is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Barbara! It is an upbeat and lively restaurant and we often come here before a night out or to watch a sports game. They have a huge list of cocktails - the raspberry smash is my personal favorite - and a massive menu with so many good options. I love their flatbreads and always order crispy coconut shrimp to start. Finny’s also has a great happy hour with cocktails ranging from $6-$9 and select food items from $7-$9 as well–definitely a steal by Santa Barbara standards!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Shalhoobs is another favorite of mine and is an open air patio restaurant located in the Funk Zone. Shalhoobs is on the more casual side and is a great option for both lunch and dinner. Shalhoob’s began as a premium butcher shop and has since evolved to a restaurant and event space serving a large menu of American style food. Shahoob’s is primarily known for their meats, especially their tri tip. Everything I have tried there has been amazing; however, the trip tip tacos, mac n cheese, and the street corn are a must.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Honor Bar has been one of our family’s favorite and most visited restaurants since we started coming to Santa Barbara 9 years ago! Honor Bar is the perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy a meal and margarita on a sunny day, or be cozy and sit inside at the bar on a cloudy one. Some of our staples at the Honor Bar are the dip duo, deviled eggs, and smoked salmon. My mom and I both love the emerald kale with rotisserie chicken and roasted peanut vinaigrette as a main course and the boys always go for Ding’s crispy chicken sandwich or the french dip. If there is ever a wait we just walk along coast village road and peek into some of the nearby shops. You can never go wrong with Honor Bar, which by the way is part of the Hillstone Group which has restaurants in several states.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I had to start with the Public Market because this is the go-to spot for my housemates and I when we decide we want to go out for a meal but don’t have a reservation and cannot all agree on what kind of food we want to eat. The Santa Barbara Public Market is located downtown and is a food hall with several different merchants, so everyone is always able to find something they like and we can still all eat together. The Public market has everything from pizzas to mexican food, to sushi, thai food, mediterranean cuisine and more. Some of my favorites in the Public Market are the Corazon Cocina tacos and margaritas, Empty Bowls Khao Soi (a thai coconut curry noodle soup), and the Fala Bowl from Fala Bar. They even have Rori’s Ice cream in there as the perfect dessert when you finish your meal. The Public Market is the perfect place to go with a group of friends and you can dress as casually as you like. The next time I go I am definitely going to try the newest addition, Three Monkeys, which serves Asian street food.</image:caption>

<image:caption>One of our more recent favorites is Broad Street Oyster Co on lower state street. The restaurant was first established in Malibu in 2019 and recently expanded to Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, with additional locations opening soon in San Francisco and Huntington Beach. The lobster rolls here are world famous and where else can you get caviar service or Santa Barbara’s finest uni while sitting on a picnic bench in your shorts and flip flops?</image:caption>

<image:caption>Third Window Brewing may possibly have the best smashburger we have ever had. Third Window Brewery is a fun and lively place to dine downtown and they often have live music on the weekends. Third Window is not too expensive or fancy, and is a great option for any night you spontaneously want to eat out. They have a huge selection of beers and ciders and have different food vendors pop-up during the week. From Tuesday through Sunday they serve the best wagyu smashburgers you will ever have. We haven’t been on a Monday yet, but that is the one night they serve wood-fired sourdough pizzas, which also look amazing. If you’re not a beer or cider person, don’t worry–the potek winery is next door and shares courtyard seating with Third Window.</image:caption>

<image:caption>If you’re okay with a bit of a wait, the Boathouse on Hendry’s Beach is an ideal spot, with high end seafood and amazing ocean views. We love to go for brunch and stroll the beach while we wait. An early dinner, with views of the sunset is also spectacular. Definitely try the oysters and shrimp cocktail, which are as fresh as they come.</image:caption>

<image:caption>If you are looking for a more upscale dining experience and do not have a reservation, Santo Mezcal is a perfect option as they only accept walk-ins. Santo Mezcal is a small Mexican restaurant owned by Carlos Luna of Los Agaves fame. They have an amazing selection of margaritas (Zahra loves the Beso Ardiente) and the modern take on classic Mexican food is delicious as well. We love all the ceviches, the camarones al mezcal and of course the classic enchiladas verde.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Aperitivo is another great option for those wanting a higher end restaurant but do not have a reservation. Aperitivo is a small wine bar and restaurant in downtown Santa Barbara that serves Italian food and has a great list of spritzers and wines to pair perfectly with your meal. Aperitivo’s menu changes often depending on what is in season but they serve incredible bites like olives, bruschetta and burrata and a selection of handmade pastas that changes often. This is the perfect place to go on a date night. (p.s. You must be 21 or older!)</image:caption>

The Daisy is the perfect mix of casual dining in a beautiful space with a convenient location right on State Street. Every item on the menu is fresh and delicious but the falafel bowl is especially well-loved. They also have a great wine selection and my favorite gluten free double chocolate chip walnut cookies baked fresh every day. (Reservations for groups of 6 and larger are accepted)</image:caption>

Many of the ingredients are grown at Treville’s organic farm, so the menu changes regularly depending on what’s in season. <image:caption>This was one of my favorite meals of the entire trip. Lo Scoglio has a few different locations and we visited the one in Nerano. We booked a boat for the day to explore the caves and the Amalfi Coast from the water and planned our lunch here that day as it is about a 20 minute boat ride from Positano. We sighted a couple of celebrities at Lo Scoglio, and it’s no wonder as this institution has been around since 1958 and is well known for its authentic Italian food. The zucchini pasta and vongole are both a must if you go here, along with the ubiquitous aperol spritz. This is a meal I will be dreaming about forever.</image:caption>
